Original Father’s Day Song: My Old Man

Father’s day is a special day set aside to honor fathers and celebrate fatherhood.  Inspired by the Mother’s Day celebration, Sonora Smart Dodd planned a special day to honor fathers. It’s been celebrated in the United States since June 1910.

For me Father’s Day has always been special because I had such a close relationship with my father. I wrote this song to commemorate him. Maybe you will find you can identify with the song. My dad taught me sports, how to be a man and belief in God above. He was and is a major influence on me. I hope you enjoy Father’s Day and My Old Man.
