After the shooting in Las Vegas, I’ve felt a bit numb and in disbelief about the senseless violence that not only killed and wounded hundreds of innocent people, but also left our nation shocked and mourning.
I wrote this prayer for those killed in this shooting.

Lord,
Please take these souls
Straight to heaven.
That’s where they belong.
Innocent souls,
Both good and righteous.
Welcome them with songs.
Grant their souls
Eternal peace,
Free from worldly cares.
Give them the love
That we send them;
In our daily prayers.
