HealthRock Lullaby CD Wins A Parents' Choice Approved Award

(Newton, MA, 5/19/2008)

The recently released HealthRock Lullabies For Kids of All Ages CD has been awarded a Parents’ Choice Approved Award. The CD contains 17 original instrumental songs created by DocRock, aka Mache Seibel, MD. The songs were originally created to help my father-in-law relax and fall asleep when he was going through chemotherapy, states Dr. Mache. The CD, which contains 17 original songs and lasts for 43 minutes, is a soothing and melodic group of original instrumental compositions that help kids of all ages relax and fall asleep.

Sleep is essential for children’s health and growth, and for grown up’s health and wellness. Studies show that 37% of children in kindergarten through 4th grade suffer from at least one sleep related problem, and according to the National Institutes of Health, sleep problems affect 70 million adults, states Dr. Mache. The CD was published to address these issues.

HealthRock is the baby of Dr. Machelle Seibel a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Combining his passion for music with health education became his primary goal and in 2003 he created HealthRock that teaches health through music and entertainment. In January 2008 the HealthRock Lullaby CD also won an iParenting Media Award.

The Parents’ Choice Awards is the nation’s oldest nonprofit program created to recognize quality children’s media. The Parents’ Choice Awards program honors the best material for children. Parents’ Choice Foundation’s panels of educators, scientists, performing artists, librarians, parents and kids themselves, identify the very best products for children of different ages and backgrounds, and of varied skill and interest levels. The Parents’ Choice Awards Committees look for products that help parents and kids connect.
