May was Women’s Health month and National Physical Fitness & Sports Month.
It’s no wonder these two celebrations are paired; exercise is one of the cornerstones of good health.
To celebrate, enjoy this song I wrote called 10,000 steps. The beat is energizing and easy to walk to. It’s from my Let’s Move album, which I wrote to compliment Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move initiative. I wrote the music and lyrics and provide the vocals. Piano by Ben Schwendener, Mike Calabrese on Drums and Bridget Kearney is on bass.

Walking 10,000 steps each day burns between 2000 to 3500 calories each week. Since one pound of body fat equals 3500 calories, depending on your workout intensity, you could lose about one pound per week just by walking an extra 10,000 steps each day. So Step, Step, Step.
